Actim Flu Test Procedure

The test performance starts with sample collection. Alternative sample types are swabs or nasopharyngeal aspirates (NPA). The samples then need to be extracted using the extraction solution.

After the 5 minute extraction step, the sample can be tested with the dipstick and the results are available at 10 minutes after dipping.

A blue line in the lower result area indicates a positive result for influenza type A, while a blue line in the middle part indicates type B.

If only the black control line is visible, the result is negative.
